WARDOGS Zestafona Map: Names, Control Zone, and Objectives (EA)
TL;DR: Editorial guide to the Zestafona map name, Control Zone win condition, play-area rotations, and POI types (towers / settlements / industry) for WARDOGS Steam Early Access. Playable now lead from MetaForge hub capture (2026-09-13; still listed playable on MetaForge public hub as of editorial 2026-09-21). Biome: North America river-bend / industrial warehouse town (MetaForge + allthings.how Sep 13, 2026). How you win (Steam store About, 2026-09-13): ~100 players / 3 teams, Control Zone ~2×2 km, first to ~100 points — keep on tick UI labels. Dated indie lead (allthings Sep 13): objective rotates among Default / Water Treatment / Houses (equal frequency); Small Factory drawn but out of rotation. Per-play-area tower counts are not published as a clean Bakurani/Ozeti-style table in allthings — MetaForge Zestafona blurb cites three live tower objectives as a tool lead only — do not invent digits. This page is not an interactive map tool. For clickable/filterable pins, use MetaForge WARDOGS maps / Zestafona — we are editorial names/objectives only. Towers + Hot Zone → ./wardogs-towers-hot-zone/. Sibling maps → Bakurani · Ozeti. Hub → ./wardogs-maps/.

Zestafona status: Playable now
| Field | Dated lead | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Map name | Zestafona | public lead — MetaForge card title + allthings guide title (Sep 13, 2026) |
| Biome sketch | North America winding river bend; town wrapped in industrial sprawl — warehouses / brick warehouses, offices, residential / apartments, factories, farmland parcels, dense woodland, train sheds, water towers, bridge, bus depot, scrap import, shipping export yards (allthings Sep 13 + MetaForge) | Editorial terrain sketch — not a pin dump |
| Battlefield span cited | ~16.38 km across (allthings); contested fight stays in a small built-up core | public lead — allthings |

Identity checklist (players / editors)
- Photograph the match load-screen map title (Zestafona?).
- Note which play area is live (Default / Water Treatment / Houses — allthings).
- Count captureable towers inside the active play area — date the count (do not paste undated blog totals).
- Mark whether Small Factory is visible as scenery only (out of rotation lead).
- File screenshots before writing “Zestafona always has N towers.”
How you win on Zestafona (Control Zone)
The Control Zone is the match’s scoring theater, not merely “the middle of the warehouses.”
| Rule | Store / press lead | Indie / tool lead | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control Zone size | ~2×2 km (Steam store About, 2026-09-13) | Play area ~500 m circle; scoring core ~85 m (allthings Zestafona) | Size conflict — store 2×2 km vs indie core; keep both dated |
| Point ticks | — | Tick bar fills when highest body count holds zone (allthings); ~30 s family leads elsewhere | public lead |
| Hot Zone | Store: double cash (Steam store About, 2026-09-13) | Counts as two toward faction presence + bonus cash (allthings / MetaForge family) | Cash = store fact; presence = public lead |
| Persistence | Cash persists match to match (store) | Economy page | HUD |

Play areas (allthings Sep 13, 2026)
Four play areas are defined; only three host the objective. Each is a ~500 m circle with an ~85 m Control Zone inside (allthings). Furthest pair cited ~531 m apart — rotations can drag the fight across the built-up core.
| Play area | Position lead | In rotation? | Character (editorial paraphrase) | Drill towers (dated) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Water Treatment | North of the middle | Yes | Most open of the three; warehouses + woodland, factories, offices/residential, towers, train sheds/tracks, water towers, bridge, scrap + large/long shipping yards | Unknown / unverified |
| Houses | South-west of the middle | Yes | Heaviest cover — warehousing + thickest woodland, towers, brick warehouses, factories, residential/apartments, shops, train sheds, bridge, bus depot, scrap, long shipping yard | Unknown / unverified |
| Small Factory | South-east of the middle | No — scenery / transit only | Defined circle but objective never lands here (allthings) | Do not stage as objective host |
Equal-frequency note (allthings): Default, Water Treatment, and Houses share rotation odds. Do not treat Default as “always” without a match screenshot.
Spacing lead (allthings): Two furthest play areas ~531 m apart — budget travel tax (die → HQ, no countdown).
Default — densest industrial slice
Editorial paraphrase of allthings (Sep 13, 2026): Default east of centre packs the most named ground — warehouse rows vs open yard lanes, with towers giving recon lines over the circle. Expect CQB inside warehouses and longer sightlines across yards / farmland strip.
Water Treatment — open lanes + tracks
North of centre; fewest packed named pieces. Train tracks and water towers create marksman lines; Hot Zone can pull knots toward whichever corner has cover (allthings paraphrase).
Houses — CQB / woodland hold
South-west; thickest woodland + residential streets. Head-on pushes into defended blocks get punished — prefer covered approaches (allthings paraphrase).
Small Factory — out of rotation
South-east; treat as scenery / corridor knowledge, not the match plan. Knowing its landmarks still helps rotations when the live zone is elsewhere.
Tower-count gap table (keep honesty visible)
Do not invent Bakurani-style 5/5/3 or Ozeti-style 4/3/2 rows for Zestafona.
| Claim | Source | Stance |
|---|---|---|
| Towers exist; capture reveals code digits; roof loot risk | allthings Zestafona (Sep 13, 2026) | Mechanics lead — no per-area counts |
| Flat “Zestafona = N towers” eternal fact | — | Forbidden until dated play-area screenshots |
| Bakurani / Ozeti contrast tables | Sibling spokes | Use for pattern — not copy-paste numbers |
| Map / area | Tower count (dated) | Source | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zestafona — Default / Water Treatment / Houses | Per-area digits not published in allthings rotation table | allthings | Count live + date |
| Zestafona — MetaForge “three live” | Tool blurb | MetaForge | public lead — tool |
| Bakurani contrast | 5 / 5 / 3 by play area | allthings Bakurani | Sibling → Bakurani |
| Ozeti contrast | 4 / 3 / 2 by play area | allthings Ozeti | Sibling → Ozeti |
Rule: Prefer a dated screenshot of the in-match map with towers marked. Full digit / keypad / drill / Hot Zone move flow → Towers + Hot Zone.
POI types on Zestafona
Editorial categories for callouts — not an interactive pin dump.
1) Towers
| Topic | Guidance | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Role | Hardpoint + digit toward drill code; can pull Hot Zone | Towers |
| Which count | Live towers in active play area / Control Zone | Gap table above |
| Callout habit | “Default live — count towers on map” / date your digit | Never paste undated N |
2) Settlements
| Topic | Zestafona examples (editorial) | Why contest |
|---|---|---|
| Residential | Residential blocks, apartments, shops | Ambush lanes, CQB on Houses |
| Soft landmarks | Offices clusters, bridge approaches | Staging / verticality |
| Evidence | allthings terrain sketch | Not a MetaForge pin dump |
3) Industry / rail / yards
| Topic | Zestafona examples (editorial) | Why contest |
|---|---|---|
| Warehousing | Warehouses, brick warehouses | Hard cover / CQB core |
| Heavy industry | Large factories, scrap import, shipping export (large / long) | Sightlines + vehicle staging |
| Rail choke | Train tracks, train sheds, bus depot | Ambush corridors (public guide family) |
| Water infrastructure | Water towers (Water Treatment flavor) | Marksman lines |
4) FOBs / player-built space
| Topic | Guidance | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| vs tower drill | Public guides: FOB drills need fuel & can be destroyed; tower drills differ | Towers page |
Hot Zone vs Control Zone vs towers (one screen)
| Term | Meaning (public / store) | Player takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| Control Zone | Match scoring theater (~2×2 km store; indie core ~85 m inside ~500 m play area) | Score to ~100 pts |
| Play area | Which Zestafona slice hosts the zone this match | Changes which towers / lanes matter |
| Tower | Digit / hardpoint inside active zone | Code toward drill |
| Hot Zone | Store: double cash; tools: presence + cash leads | Economy magnet — Towers page |
Control Zone (score toward 100)
└─ POIs: towers | settlements | industry/rail/yards | FOBs
└─ Tower keypad/drill → may pull Hot Zone (double cash — store)
First 10 minutes on Zestafona
- Read load-screen name — confirm Zestafona (not Bakurani / Ozeti).
- Note play area if shown (Default / Water Treatment / Houses — not Small Factory as host).
- Open in-match map; find Control Zone outline.
- Ping one tower and one soft POI (warehouse cluster / apartments / rail shed).
- Decide: score hold vs Hot Zone cash plan.
- Budget a vehicle if HQ is far — die → HQ travel tax (allthings).
- Prefer woodland / warehouse interiors over open yard YOLO into recon (allthings approach tip).
- Screenshot tower count before arguing Discord numbers.
First-match loop → How to Play WARDOGS.
Approach habits (allthings paraphrase)
| Habit | Why |
|---|---|
| Don’t take the most direct line by default | Recon / tower sightlines across yards |
| Recheck Hot Zone on arrival | It moves while you travel |
| Watch local voice | Friendly and enemy may hear you |
| Mini-map: Control Zone vs Hot Zone vs No Man’s Land | Warehouse walls hide the scoring edge |
| Budget transport like loadout | No respawn countdown — travel is the death tax |
Terrain sketch (editorial — not pins)
Use for callouts only. Do not treat as GPS.
| Zone flavor | What to expect | Objective note |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse / brick warehouse maze | Tight CQB, interlocking cover | Default densest fights |
| Shipping / scrap yards | Longer sightlines, vehicle scrap | Open-lane ambush risk |
| Train tracks / sheds / bus depot | Choke corridors | Rotate covered, not ego mid-rail |
| Offices / apartments | Verticality over warehouse floor | Hold climbs on Houses |
| Water towers / treatment flavor | Marksman lines (Water Treatment) | Don’t silhouette on roofs |
| Farmland / woodland ring | Outer approaches | Covered drop-offs into zone |
| Bridge | Chokepoint / elevation | Contest carefully |
| Small Factory SE | Scenery lead | Not the objective host |
Travel tax reminder (allthings): dying sends you to HQ with no countdown — distance is the penalty. Agree a covered drop-off before buying transport.
Editor hygiene (keep gaps visible)
- Prefer dated play-area rotation tables over undated “complete tower lists.”
- Keep MetaForge as a tool link, never a pasted pin dump.
- When MetaForge says “three live towers” and allthings gives no per-area digits, show the gap — do not invent 3/3/3.
- Photograph load-screen names if third-party tools lag.
- Hide unverified cells in public HTML later (站务) — writers keep them in shells.

FAQ
Q: Is Zestafona playable in WARDOGS Early Access?
A: MetaForge hub capture (2026-09-13) lists Zestafona Playable now (supersedes earlier “not yet in rotation” copy). Public hub still frames Bakurani / Ozeti / Zestafona as playable (editorial 2026-09-21). Confirm on your load screen.
Q: How big is the Control Zone and how do you win?
A: Steam store About (2026-09-13): Control Zone ~2×2 km, first to ~100 points, ~100 players / 3 teams. allthings Zestafona cites ~500 m play-area circles with ~85 m scoring cores — keep the size conflict visible until HUD screenshots resolve it.
Q: What are the Zestafona play areas?
A: allthings (Sep 13, 2026): Default (east), Water Treatment (north), Houses (south-west) rotate at equal frequency; Small Factory (south-east) is defined but out of objective rotation.
Q: How many towers does Zestafona have?
A: Unverified as a fixed number. allthings discusses towers without a Bakurani/Ozeti-style per-area count table. MetaForge’s Zestafona blurb mentions three live tower objectives as a tool lead — screenshot your match. Prefer Towers for drill flow.
Q: Is this an interactive Zestafona map?
A: No. This is editorial — not a map tool. Interactive pins → MetaForge hub · Zestafona interactive.
Q: What’s the difference between Control Zone and Hot Zone?
A: Control Zone = scoring theater toward 100 points. Hot Zone = store double-cash (and tool leads for double presence) usually tied to tower drill flow — see Towers.
Q: Zestafona vs Bakurani vs Ozeti — which should I learn first?
A: Whichever your server loads. Bakurani is the compact valley sibling; Ozeti the Western Europe river basin; Zestafona the North America industrial river-bend. See Maps hub, Bakurani, Ozeti.
Q: Where do I learn the drill / keypad / Hot Zone move?
A: WARDOGS Towers and Hot Zone.
